Does Sylvester Stallone Have a Role In James Gunn's Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2?

Could Sly Stallone pop up in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2? The rumor can be traced back to New York Daily news, who reckon they spotted the actor leaving his hotel in Atalanta (where shooting is currently underway) with a copy of the movie's script in his hand. Plus, Stallone apparently entered a car that's usually used by Chris Pratt (Star Lord) to get to and from the set. Not irrefutable evidence by any means, but certainly a pretty good case. If he is in the movie, though, who could he be playing? Stallone starred alongside Kurt Russel in '80s action flick Tango and Cash, so perhaps he's been brought in for a brief scene with his old pal to pay homage? Whatever he may (or may not) be doing in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, don't expect his role to be a large one. Thoughts on this? »
Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Sandman Movie Gets A Writer

It's been quite a while since we've had any news on this one, but THR reports that Eric Heisserer (the A Nightmare on Elm Street and The Thing remakes) has been tapped to pen New Line's big screen adaptation of Neil Gaiman's Sandman. We've heard persistent rumors that Joseph Gordon-Levitt would direct and star in the movie, and that seems to have been confirmed also - it's assumed he'll be taking the title role of Morpheus, but that has yet to be verified. David Goyer wrote the treatment with Levitt and will also produce. Apparently New Line hopes to make a Sandman trilogy, which should please fans who thought they might attempt to squeeze the guts of this massive story into one movie. »

Venom Movie Back On At Sony; Will Be Unrelated To Marvel's New Spider-man

According to THR, Sony plans to move forward with that standalone Venom movie that was in development before the studio made their deal with Marvel to share the rights to Spider-Man. Back then in was envisioned as a spin-off that would be set in the same continuity as the now defunct Amazing Spider-Man franchise, but word is it will now stand "apart from and unrelated to" the reboot that's in the works with Tom Holland reprising his Captain America: Civil War Peter Parker role. Edge of Tomorrow screenwriter Dante Harper is on board to pen the script, with Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach producing and overseeing the project. »

For many DC Comics fans, the epic cliffhanger from Young Justice Season 2 remains as one of the biggest, unresolved storylines in TV history. Recently, Netflix began streaming the second season of the Cartoon Network teen superhero show and naturally, rumors began circulating that Netflix could be interested in producing a third season. It seemed like wishful thinking at first...but then Greg Weisman chimed in. He was followed by voice actor Khary Payton, who also told fans a third season could happen. Weisman and Payton's sentiments were then echoed by Brandon Vietti, who stated they had a lot more material left for the show that he and Weisman would return in a heartbeat. A few weeks back when details of an R-rated 'Ultimate Cut' of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice first surfaced, it was widely assumed that the success of 20th Century Fox's smash hit Deadpool played a part in Warner Bros. decision-making process and well, as it turns out, it did, but it mostly served as reassurance moreso than anything else. According to Entertainment Weekly, even though the R-rated extended cut of Batman v Superman was in the works for quite some time before Deadpool hit theaters, it wasn't until the impressive box office returns for the Ryan Reynolds-starrer came in that Warner Bros. executives felt convinced that a more intense adult-oriented home video release was a risk worth taking. For a long time Marvel fans have wondered if they'd ever get to see Shang-Chi adapted for the screen, and according to McU Exchange and That Hashtag Show, it's finally going to happen. In the video report below, they claim the Master of Kung Fu will be introduced at some point during Netflix's Iron Fist series, which we now know will star Game Of Thrones' Finn Jones in the lead role of Danny Rand. Shang-Chi has remained a second tier, but very popular character over the years, teaming with the likes of Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and most recently The Avengers. No Superman In Suicide Squad But He Could Turn Up In Another Dceu Film Post Batman V Superman

In a recent interview with Brazilian magazine Superinteressante, actor Henry Cavill has confirmed that unlike his Batman v Superman co-star, he doesn't turn up in Suicide Squad. That makes perfect sense as it was Batman who put all of the members of Taskforce X in Belle Reeve prison. Cavill did tell Superinteressante, that post-Dawn of Justice, Superman could turn up in the Dceu sooner than Justice League Part One. There's a chance that he could turn up in Wonder Woman, as Cavill stated that nothing was confirmed yet but to "watch that space". This would be a further clue that Patty Jenkins' film won't entirely be set during World War I. Thanks to yesterday's massive coverage on Batman v Superman from Entertainment Weekly, we now have confirmation that both Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman take place after the events of Dawn of Justice, which raises quite a few interesting questions. »

Before Christopher Nolan reinvented the Dark Knight with Batman Begins, director Darren Aronofsky (Requiem For A Dream, The Wrestler) had planned to helm a loose big-screen adaptation of Frank Miller's Batman: Year One.
