Help please initial disappointment A7R 2

Hi Guys

I finally made the jump off the fence and sold all my FF Nikon (D800) and some heavy fast glass and bought the Sony A7R2 with 55f1.8 lens yesterday.

i am feeling a little underwhelmed by it I must say in terms of handling.

i find the menu system poorly laid out, the buttons too small and the battery life terrible . The focussing is also not as good as my Nikon ... Am I doing something wrong ?

is this a normal reaction and does the camera have saving graces that eradicate these issues ?

Also there does not appear to be the same "feeling" from the website and forums in terms of  support.

Has anyone else felt this way initially and then come to love the camera ?

if so what made it your camera of choice.
