This Sunday all of the stars will be out to celebrate the greatest achievements in cinema over 2015. Is it Leo’s year? Will there be any upsets? If John Travolta is asked to speak, will he successfully be able to pronounce everything right? What will win the most prestigious prize of Best Picture? And most importantly, will there be any wardrobe malfunctions from all of those revealing dresses? Okay, maybe that last one isn’t so important, but you never know!

As someone who has watched 156 movies over the course of last year, and has been following Academy Awards voting patterns for quite some time now, I feel pretty confident in giving you some spoilers as to who will be taking home golden statues. Rumour: Game of Thrones star Finn Jones cast as Marvel’s Iron Fist

If rumours are to be believed, Marvel and Netflix have found their Danny Rand for the upcoming Iron Fist series, with The Hashtag Show claiming that Finn Jones -who plays the character of Loras Tyrell on Game of Thrones – has been cast in the title role.

It should be noted that The Hashtag Show has posted some reliable information in the past, although a few of their previous reports remain unconfirmed. That being said, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage star Mike Colter suggested back in January that Marvel had already cast Iron Fist, so if the report is accurate and Jones has secured the role, an official announcement will surely be forthcoming.

Batista Shoots on Titus O’Neil Suspension

Our top story today is the continuing saga of Titus O’Neil’s WWE suspension.

First, a brief catch up – at the end of Daniel Bryan’s retirement speech on Raw two weeks ago, Titus O’Neil thought it would be a good idea to grab Vince McMahon’s arm as he left the stage. It wasn’t a good idea, because Vince is crazy, and Titus ended up getting suspended for 60 days – which is the equivalent of a second wellness policy violation.

Movie Review – How to Be Single (2016)

How to be Single, 2016.

Directed by Christian Ditter.

Starring Dakota Johnson, Rebel Wilson, Alison Brie, Leslie Mann, Anders Holm, Damon Wayans Jr., Jake Lacy, Nicholas Braun, and Colin Jost.

Synopsis:

New York City is full of lonely hearts seeking the right match, and what Alice, Robin, Lucy, Meg, Tom and David all have in common is the need to learn how to be single in a world filled with ever-evolving definitions of love.

I know what you’re probably saying; “How to be Single, I don’t need a movie to tell me how to do that”, but toying with that convention of romantic comedies is what sets this one apart from the pack, and makes it one of those rare star-studded ensemble cast features actually worth watching. It really is refreshing to have a movie of this genre in which the perks of being single are explored, also in numerous different ways, »

Elsewhere, Baymella take on Eva Marie and Nia Jax in the main event, we have Bull Dempsey’s possible final match, Biff Busick’s debut and there’s a big signing coming next week. It’s this week’s Nxt Recap & Review…

1. American Alpha vs. Blake & Murphy

This is a re-match from a few weeks ago, and is being pushed a chance for both teams to ascend further up the tag team ranks of Nxt. Murphy is probably the loudest seller in the history of this brand. Gable has him in a leglock early on and he’s screaming for Blake so loudly. It’s kind of awesome. I say this almost every week, »

Star Wars Rebels Season 2 Episode 15 Review – ‘The Honorable Ones’

Chris Cooper reviews the fifteenth episode of Star Wars Rebels season 2…

Well well well. Who would have thought that since coming back after Christmas, the strongest and most interesting episodes of Rebels would both centre on Zeb, who up to this point has really only been muscle and occasional comic relief. ‘The Honorable Ones’, further serves to flesh out his character, and make me care more about him.

Perhaps more importantly though, is how the episode portrays Agent Kallus, who for a long time now has had a seemingly personal grudge against the Lasat. In the space of 20 minutes my changed my opinion of him several times; quite a feat! Trapped with Zeb, and relying on each other to survive (drink in the frankly gorgeous McQuarrie-esque planet scape), would he live up to his name, or would he show us something we rarely see in Imperials…compassion? I’ve always »

Video Game Review – Rocket League

Martin Carr reviews Rocket League…

You’re in a huge stadium. Floodlights blaze down from atop vast scaffolding constructs encompassing an arena decked out in full regalia. People rev their engines in anticipation of that klaxon kicking off another adrenaline fuelled foot to the floor fiasco. Rocket League is foolishly simple yet savagely addictive from almost the first moment you careen across that football pitch. I say football and pitch because that is exactly what you have.

Developers Psyonix have simply produced a FIFA clone replacing players with supped up kit cars. Whether you jump up and catch it mid-air halfway through its trajectory, or ricochet that bad boy off an opponent. Your sole aim is get an oversized orb into a goal at either end. Whatever the method its purpose remains identical; win the match and progress onto a higher division. As with any game of this nature there »

Comic Book Review – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #55

Chris Cooper reviews Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #55…

“Recent events have strained many relationships amongst the Tmnt and their allies. Many must decide whether to trust or to betray, to separate or to stay, and to love or to hate. Time takes its toll, but where do the Turtles go from here?”

This month brings us a standalone issue that concludes recently built up story threads, in time for the return of Santolouco and a new story arc next month.

Our time with Michael Dialynas has been relatively brief, but he peaks here with his final issue. This isn’t an action-packed issue, and he does a great job of portraying emotion on each character. There is a shell-full of emotion on display here too, so whilst I’m looking forward to having Mateus back, Dialynas has done himself proud. It almost goes without saying at this point that Ronda Pattison »

Axel Alonso’s business card may offer first look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man

Marvel Studios has been doing a great job of keeping Tom Holland’s Spider-Man under wraps ahead of his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Captain America: Civil War, but it appears that Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso’s new business card may have given us our first look at the McU’s wall-crawler. Check it out here via Hybrid Network…

Now, this could well just be a generic image of Spider-Man, but the other characters are shown in their familiar Marvel Cinematic Universe costumes, including Black Panther, who will make his debut alongside Spidey in Civil War. So, it would certainly make sense that the web-slinger’s design is also based upon his big screen appearance.

Movie Review – Grimsby (2016)

Grimsby (aka The Brothers Grimsby), 2016.

Directed by Louis Leterrier.

Starring Sacha Baron Cohen, Mark Strong, Rebel Wilson, Penélope Cruz, Isla Fisher and Ian McShane.

Synopsis:

A football hooligan tracks down his long-lost brother, a spy for MI6, and they end up on the run from a terrorist organisation.

Sacha Baron Cohen is a brave man. In the past he’s put himself in potentially life-threatening situations for the sake of comedy, and his stunts have incurred the wrath of people of pretty much every nationality, religion and sexual orientation there is. Residents of Grimsby have already publicly declared their anger at their town being portrayed as home of the ‘scum of the Earth’, as the characters in this film proudly describe themselves (even though all the scenes set there were actually filmed in Essex!) The plot actually spends very little time in England – it’s the aforementioned ‘scum’ (i.e. »
