That said, the lords, ladies and downstairs dwellers have a whole mess of last-minute surprises up their collective sleeve for the series finale, so TVLine thought we’d cushion the pain of farewell by dropping a few hints. (Note: Stop reading now if you’d rather remain in the dark.)

Ready? Ok, let’s do this…

* Anna is not the only person pregnant in the final episode. »

Songwriters hoping to get their big break selling a song NBC’s upcoming competition reality series “Songland” may have just given away their best material for free. Saturday Night Live Review: Jonah Hill Hosts

21 hours ago | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

Our host for tonight is Jonah Hill, appearing in his fourth hosting gig in just twice as many years. When it comes to hosting, Hill is like one of those basketball players who’s around for forever, and is consistently good, but not necessarily an MVP (This is the time where I would mention an actual basketball player if I knew anything about sports, but one doesn’t become a TV recapper by knowing things about sports). Basically, I was a little surprised to see that Hill is only one hosting gig away from joining the elusive five-timer’s club, but as I watched his past episodes in preparation for tonight, I could see why-- he’s a good character actor and thus can bring range to the brief roles he gets in sketches, he breaks approximately once an episode but never more, and he always seems genuinely grateful and excited to be there. »

The Family, “All You See Is Dark” Has Some Illuminating Moments

1 hour ago | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

The Family, “All You See is Dark” is a good title for the show’s second episode.  Despite the return of  he presumed dead Adam Warren (Liam James) to his family there’s not much lightness and joy in the lives of the Warren’s- or anyone else.  In terms of the mystery of his disappearance, the truth is absolutely still in the dark. The opening monologue this time is Adam.  He’s talking about how once you’ve left home you can’t really come back because everything will be different.  A split-screen makes a parallel between Adam’s experiences and his  the man wrongly convicted

1 hour ago | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Spoiler alert: Do not read until you’ve watched the series finale of “Downton Abbey,” season 6, episode 9, airing March 6.

Edith got married! Anna and Bates had a baby! Even Barrow got what he wanted — the butler job at Downton Abbey. Happy endings abounded for all the residents of Downton, upstairs and below. “I love happy endings,” “Downton Abbey” creator Julian Fellowes told Variety. “I didn’t want to disappoint people. There was a wonderful quote on Twitter: ‘If Edith Crawley isn’t happy by the end of the series, Julian Fellowes better sleep with one eye open.”

Unlucky-in-love Edith had resigned herself to being a spinster, rejected by Bertie because of her deception about her daughter Marigold. But no other than Mary ended playing matchmaker, setting up a reunion dinner at the Ritz in London. “Would you believe me if I said I couldn’t live without you?” he says, »

Madam Secretary has always tried to be faithful to current events, and this week is no different. The man claims he worked mechanics for the bomber, so Italy contacts the Us.   Concurrently, now that Henry is fully healthy again he is looking forward to his new job. ‘Downton Abbey’ Bosses on ‘Happy’ Series Finale, Movie Update & Spinoff Ideas (Spoilers)

4 hours ago | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Spoiler alert: Do not read until you’ve watched the series finale of “Downton Abbey,” season 6, episode 9, airing March 6.

The series finale of “Downton Abbey” ended with happy endings all around — including for Edith Crawley, the most beleaguered of all the show’s characters, much to viewers’ delight.

“Obviously you’re sad,” executive producer Julian Fellowes, who created the series and wrote all the episodes, tells Variety. ‘You invent these characters and they become quasi-real to you so when you say goodbye there is a bit of a pang. But on the other hand, I don’t think we’ve made a mistake. I haven’t at any point since we made the decision thought, ‘oh my god, what are we doing?'”

Adds executive producer Gareth Neame, “We went into season 6 knowing that we had to bring a pretty large ensemble of 20 or so characters to rest. Some very big, »

Quantico Review: Alex Testifies Before Congress

At long last, Quantico has finally returned from its winter hiatus. The mid-season finale had some big reveals and cliffhanger moments, so let’s jump right in and see what happened in tonight’s spring premiere, “Alex.” The episode opens with Alex, post-bombing, testifying before the Senate about Elias. She’s working to convince the world that he was simply the scapegoat, but she’s finding it difficult to convince those that are most important, such as Caleb’s mother Claire (played by Marcia Cross), the Democratic nominee for Vice President. We got a little taste of Claire at the end of the first half of Quantico‘s

The following post contains spoilers from Quantico‘s midseason premiere.

Aside from having a head of hair kissed by the angels themselves, Quantico‘s Alex Parrish just can’t catch a break, can she?

In Sunday’s midseason premiere, which took place three months after the bomb that detonated in the last moments of the midseason finale, Agent Parrish found herself answering to a committee investigating the explosion. Pretty much everyone involved — including Sen. Claire Haas, who lost her husband (and maybe her son? We’ll get to that in a minute) in the attack — wanted Alex to testify that »

Billions Review: Building Foundations

4 hours ago | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

When a man is drunk, and drives your kids home drunk, it is both fair and understandable to be angry. It’s even justifiable to drive over to his house, and beat his stupid ass, because if a man that wealthy can’t understand how to call a driver, they might need a little negative reinforcement. However, there is a reason we as a society strive to evolve past that sort of violence; namely, because of the ‘tit for tat’-ness that is hardwired into human behavior. A punch leads to another punch; a kick leads to another kick; one confrontation between two

Review: ‘Downton Abbey’ Finale Closes PBS Hit’s Sentimental Journey (Spoilers)

5 hours ago | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Watching the final few episodes of “Downton Abbey,” including the series finale (and Spoiler Alert if you haven’t yet), brought to mind the accusation leveled at Rick, Humphrey Bogart’s character in Casablanca,” by Claude Rains’ Captain Renault: “As I suspected, you’re a rank sentimentalist.” Not that there’s anything wrong with that in this case, as series creator Julian Fellowes clearly exhibited an affection for his cast, and a desire to see them enjoy the equivalent of an uplifting ride into the sunset on this towering PBS drama.

Granted, the way of life represented in the series has been living on borrowed time for a while. And just as “Downton” began with the sinking of the Titanic and encompassed the tumult of World War I, the specter of World War II looms over the future of all these characters, or at least those likely to be around another 15 years or more. »

The Good Wife Review: Alicia and Jason have a Lazy Sunday in Bed

5 hours ago | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

It has been two weeks since we were last treated to an episode of The Good Wife. Thankfully the series returned tonight and it was definitely worth the wait. The episode entitled, “Hearing,” focused on the charges that are being brought against Peter (Chris Noth). However, it was the steamy scenes between Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Jason (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) that made this episode a must watch. With only six more episodes left after tonight, is it too early to state that The Good Wife will be ending on an extremely high note? After tonight’s spectacular episode, I do not think many people will disagree
