HBO Locks Down "Game of Thrones" Secrets

HBO has opted not to hand out any advance episodes of the sixth season of its big-budget fantasy series "Game of Thrones," a rare event.

Neither press nor Hollywood insiders will receive any episodes in advance - either via DVD or online screening - ahead of the season's premiere on April 24th. HBO programming president Michael Lombardo tells EW: "We're not sending out press copies this year, anywhere in the world. There will be no copies for review."

This continues a content lock-down on the series which, with the upcoming season, will go beyond the point at which the books have been published thus far and so will be completely new to both readers and non-readers of George R. R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" novels.

This follows in the wake of last year when HBO sent the first four episodes of the fifth season to its media distribution list, »

"Captain America: Civil War" Early Reactions

It isn't just Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" that has been screening in recent weeks.

Birth Movies Death have posted up some early, non-spoiler reactions to Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War" that have just come in eight weeks before the international rollout of the film starting April 27th.

Unsurprisingly the reaction seems to be very positive with the sources stressing that despite all the characters in the film, this is very much about Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes:

"This isn't Avengers 2.5, but rather Captain America 3, and it truly focuses on Cap and Bucky. I have been told that Spider-Man is great, and that the film doesn't waste time on retelling his origin. We all get it, and the movie just moves along. I've been told that Black Panther is phenomenal, and that Chadwick Boseman is a major addition to the McU.

Samsung Pretty Much Kills 3D Television

Once hoped to be the next great breakthrough in home televisions, 3D on your home screen is now going the way of the dinosaur.

CNET has confirmed with a source at Samsung, the world's largest manufacturer of flat screens, that none of its 2016 Us TV models will support 3D - and thus will not be able to play 3D Blu-ray movies or other 3D content and won't work with 3D glasses.

The reason appears to be that Samsung wants to continue concentrating more resources on its smart TV functionality. 3D will still be available for a while on many of their previously released models through last year.

The world's second largest TV maker, LG, is holding steady with around one-third of its line-up still being 3D capable but not its top of the range models. While Samsung is all about smart tech, LG is much more focused on picture quality »

Snyder Plans Gritty George Washington Film

Zack Snyder has just begun the interview circuit for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" with some of the first quotes being provided in a new piece for Bloomberg Business today.

But it isn't the superhero movie talk that has gotten people chatting, rather it's a bit at the end which hints at a dream project he hopes to get around to one day - a George Washington biopic with a stylised "300"-style look. Here's the key excerpt:

"One of these days, he'd like to make one about George Washington in the style of 300. He has a picture in his office of the Revolutionary War hero crossing the icy Delaware on his way to decimate the British in the Battle of Trenton. Snyder says: 'We were talking about it. The first thing we asked was, well, how are we going to make it look? I pointed at this painting. It »

"Fuller House" Renewed For Season 2

Despite absolutely scathing reviews from critics and a mixed range of reviews from fans, Netflix has renewed "Fuller House" for a second season.

A continuation of the 1990s sitcom "Full House," the pick-up comes days after the revival series debuted on the streaming giant. Even with the bad reviews, social media traffic surrounding the series' revival has been overwhelming - turning it into something of a major pop culture event.

It's unclear how many viewers the thirteen episode series has drawn since its launch. Most of the original cast returned for the series which focused on the now adult daughters of the Tanner family.

Eisenberg Would Return For "Zombieland 2"

2009's horror comedy "Zombieland" proved a break out hit for two of its young stars - Jesse Eisenberg and Emma Stone.

Talk of a sequel to that film was stirring for a few years after its release, but has since quietly died down as both director Ruben Fleischer and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick went on to other projects - the latter pair recently penning the "Deadpool" film.

Now, in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Eisenberg says that he'd be up to do a sequel but isn't sure when it might happen:

"Yeah, it'd be wonderful to do. I know they've been trying to do it for a while, and I know they're trying to figure out exactly what will occur in it. But it's a kind of movie that, as soon as it came out, seemed appropriate to generate a sequel. It takes place in this odd, »
