  • You know Colonel Sanders, the white guy with the white hair, black frames and goatee? Well forget about that because he is set to reportedly be portrayed by legendary actor David Alan Grier in an upcoming ad campaign.

Grier announced on Twitter that he will portray the famous face of the fried chicken chain, writing, “Breaking News: David Alan Grier has been cast as the first African American Colonel Sanders in the new KFC ad campaign.”

KFC hasn’t confirmed the news and judging by this tweet below, they seemed pretty surprised with the announcement. Grier is a comedian after all.

But let’s assume it is true. What do you think about the possible portrayal? Take our poll below.

    1. WHY? Harland Sanders was an old white man what’s next MLK gets portrayed by a white guy? Unless this is some sort of parody I’m sure there are plenty of elderly white men in Kentucky that would fit the bill

    2. FUNNY! Funny! the Original Col. was probably a black man, because white people can’t cook, especially back-in-the-day.
