On Friday, Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s autopsy report was released to the public, revealing that drug intoxication and immersion in a bathtub of water led to the 23-year-old’s death months later from pneumonia and brain damage.
Bobby Brown came to his late daughter’s defense, expressing his disappointment that the media obtained her autopsy report and unveiled it for the world to see. In a statement to PEOPLE magazine, Bobby revealed, “First and foremost, 23 years ago today, Bobbi Kristina was born. Krissy will always live in my heart and soul. I love my baby girl.”
He added, “For news affiliates to seek and obtain my daughter’s autopsy report, before anyone has been brought to justice for her death is mind blowing to me. Please pray for my family.”
Brown’s attorney Christopher Brown also released a statement: “Yesterday we were informed that two news affiliates were granted access to the autopsy of Bobbi Kristina Brown. While this action is unsettling, we will continue in our efforts in the civil lawsuit and the criminal investigation.”
Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend Nick Gordon is currently fighting a wrongful death lawsuit lodged against him by the Houston family estate.
