Notch up another big night for “Mad Max: Fury Road.”

The Oscar contender gained more momentum at tonight’s Makeup Artists and Hairstylists Guild awards, where it won trophies for best period and/or character makeup and for best special makeup effects.

Other feature film winners included “Furious 7,” “Pitch Perfect 2” and “Cinderella.”

Television winners included “American Horror Story: Hotel,” “Game of Thrones,” “Dancing With the Stars,” “The Walking Dead” and “Scream Queens.”

“Mad Max,” with three noms, led the field in the feature competition. “American Horror Story” was rewarded with five wins.

The Guild distributed prizes in 23 categories of film, television, commercials and live theater.

The ceremony took place at Paramount Studios Theatre before an audience of more than 700, including guild members, industry execs and press. Muahs president Sue Cabral-Ebert presided over the ceremony with “The Real’s” Loni Love serving as host. M.A.C. Cosmetics was the presenting sponsor. »
