Down the Avenue (Cityscape)

Challenge #28 in the The Landscape Club series. Hosted by Bren Dyer.

Challenge has finished

Capture an inspiring image looking down the avenue. The avenue can be a street or a road, but it MUST have tall buildings on the side(s). 10 floors at least as a minimum. The image must be shot at street height. Ideally what I am looking for are shots of Manhattan, Tokyo, London, Sydney, Wellington, Dubai or similar.

If I feel an image does not fill the brief I will disqualify said image. I am not going to add additional rules to cover the various scenarios. if it does not fit it will be disqualified.

To challenge administrator,
My picture has been disqualified, why? Picture depicts old and new, it starts on left side with old buildings and continues all the way to the tallest building in Mobile at the end of the street, if you look closely on left side, and it is at least 30 floors. I disagree with your decision. One would expect that you would welcome some creative freedom within the challenge.

I have looked at your image and my disqualification stands. Yes I can see the building at the end, but that was blocks away from your "subject". Your image was not within the spirit of the competition and the 30 storey building was a mere technicality. If this result is unsatisfactory to you then you are more than welcome to refrain from my challenges.

Does "Avenue" imply trees? I've never been quite sure...

I really do not know and cannot answer that. It does not need to be an avenue, it can be a lane, a street, or a road as well...as mentioned in the brief. Avenue was used in the title as it sounded better than road

As heartbroken as I may be, this has nothing to do with me - I'm simply advising you that the avenues in your 3rd stated city are historically unaccomodating to 10 storey buildings ... I won't bother clarifying further - probably American anyway ...

If you read the brief it does not have to be on an avenue...It can be a street, a road or whatever...but it must have at least 10 storey buildings to the side...i am also insulted at your final remark. If you are going to be rude about my challenge and insult me then you can refrain from entering my challenges..All of them.
