What is the main reason for your choice of a camera model?

The last part of this video, I thought, was quite interesting. Is the main reason many, or if not, most people choose a certain camera model - its looks? Looks does sells, no question about that. So never mind so much the camera's features, but oh how beautiful it looks. Is that really how many feel when choosing? Check out this review on the new Olympus Pen F, and notice the comments later on in the video when comparing it to the Panasonic GX8. So does beauty on the outside win over beauty on the inside?
