Nice strap. Not sure what all the fuss is about. A photographer has produced a nice strap and is charging money for it.

for something like USD 80 I can talk to my local saddler or shoemaker craftsman, choose whatever leather I want (fx. same as the Jensen Interceptor Interior), feel it, smell it ...
Sometimes marketing costs eats real craftsmenship.

Would look good on the X Pro 2 camera. Indeed, for deposit orders of the X Pro 2 (in the UK at least) they will give a globe trotter brown strap, looking very much like this one for Leica.

For that price I'd expect no exposed bits of metal on a strap. That was stupid in the 1950s.

Don't know why DPR would want to plug a horrible looking piece of junk like this. I've seen better straps handed in for the garbage on old cameras.

Bought the package (wrist & neck) for my old trusty x100s and the up and comming X-Pro2.

I like the estethics, and originality. (oh and yes: screw the naysayers. Keyword: Axel Sandemose)

That's quite overpriced for a product with such amateurish finish and crude materials. And calling these "Henri" is disrespectful. (As for the "MkII", that's just ludicrous.)
Eric Kim is such a great street photographer; he needn't expose himself to ridicule like this.

I vote for Lance's camera straps. I am a strap guy who has bought and sold just about every strap out there trying to find something practical and comfortable. This is the first strap that get's my vote. I wore the Lance camera strap cut to a custom 60 inches across my chest in conjunction my Fuji XT10 for a week's vacation and let me tell you it's perfect: The strap never got in the way, was comfortable (never noticed it), well-made, inexpensive, and attractive.

The irony of course is that Kim has been banging on for months about getting rid of non-essentials and now , (for how long I don't know), is shooting a Ricoh GRII, having ditched Leicas/Fuji's etc. For him to market a trendy/hipster piece of nonsense just say's it all.

This looks like top grain with more corium, and not full grain leather. Regardless of price, the quality doesn't seem all that great and I would never buy it.

Since it's made in Saigon, why not play up the French influence in Vietnam which would make it sound even cooler than just piggybacking onto Cartier-Bresson.

Just as soon as I finish growing my beard at a jaunty angle, complete my sleeve of tattoos, and buy yet another completely pointless little hat, I'll buy this. The leather is not only the right coffee colour, it's the same Pantone shade as my fixie bike.

Of course, my lifestyle-curation-exercise as a 35 year old trainee barista at an artisan coffee shop run by two brothers called Josh and Spartacus I met in Bali means I barely make minimum wage and I'll spend the next six months saving up for it, so perhaps my organically-certified yeast-masher life-partner can get her father to buy it for me instead.

They're probably produced in China for a few bucks, but when they're attached to a Leica, the price tag has to be equivalent!

I would like to know how much of these 'Mark II's' are actually sold.

Sometimes I wonder if DPR posts these things strategically, knowing full well that they will help generating traffic for the site :P

My Leica and Olympus cameras always get Domke gripper straps. They're great for smaller bodies, and after I've spilled enough hot sauce and other garbage on them I just chuck them into the trash and get a new one for under 20 bills.

I think I will market a strap and call it the Tom G/ strap and sell it for silly monies $40 for a wrist strap and $15 postage are u kidding me??
