American Heart Month
In honor of American Heart Month, CDC LC features, "A Community Health Worker (CHW) Training Resource for Preventing Heart Disease and Stroke (2015)." CHWs are trusted members of the community who serve as a bridge between their community members and professionals in the field of health and human services. This evidence-based training resource is designed for CHWs and includes hands on activities and links to relevant websites and products. Health educators, nurses, and other instructors can also use this resource to train CHWs.
