Looking ahead to 2016, as Director-General, my four priorities for the year ahead include a long- term prosperity agenda; raising productivity; successful devolution and contributing to an informed debate on the UK’s membership of the European Union.
With CBI forecasts predicting that the UK will fall over £300 billion short of its 2020 exports target, action is needed to ‘move the dial’ on exports and the North East can lead the way.
