Most campgrounds include restrooms, hot showers, boat launches, planned activities, playgrounds, hiking trails, and ADA accessible sites. Several campgrounds also offer RV sites with electrical hookups. Firewood is for sale at most areas and fish cleaning stations are also available.
Group Campsites
South Dakota state parks make great places for group camping trips, whether a family get-together, a class reunion, or a friendly group outing. Group campsites are available at Lewis and Clark Recreation Areas and Custer State Park, some include cabins and picnic shelters.
ADA Accessible Campsites
Over half of South Dakota state parks and recreation areas include campsites with accessible features - picnic tables, sidewalks, electricity, close parking, and are usually located near the park's comfort station. Reservations for these sites are available.
