Youth Conservation Camp
Each summer GFP works with the South Dakota Wildlife Federation to present the Youth Conservation Camp.
The camp is an opportunity for a well-rounded learning experience in all phases of outdoor recreation and conservation, geared for students ages 15-17 (grades 9-11).
Applications for camp will be accepted from January to March 1 for priority applications. After March 1, reservations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis until the camp limit is filled.
Students are asked to apply directly to a local sportsperson's club in your area or to a local Soil Conservation District Office. These organizations screen applicants as to eligibility and sponsor youth to the camp. The organizations have priority for reservations January 1 through March 1.
