- ADA/Access
GFP has fishing areas with structures or piers allowing access for individuals with disabilities. Accessible fishing piers have been installed in a number of state parks across South Dakota. - Fish Consumption Advisories
The South Dakota Departments of Health, Environment and Natural Resources along with Game, Fish and Parks cooperate to test fish for metals, pesticides and PCBs. A list of the most current fish consumption advisories for the State of South Dakota can be found here provided by the Department of Health. - Fishing Tournaments
Apply for a fishing tournament permit or learn more about tournament regulations and upcoming events. - Hatcheries: Blue Dog, Cleghorn Springs, McNenny and Whitlock Bay Salmon Spawning Station
The system of fish hatcheries steps in to give anglers a boost. Visit one of the hatcheries, online or in person, to see how we partner with nature and compliment natural fish production.
- Kids Fishing Weekend at Lake Sharpe
Each year around the first weekend in June, the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks, along with several area sponsors, hosts a fishing event for youth who are first time anglers.
