Daniel Levinson Inspector General Daniel R. Levinson speaks at the September 7, 2011 press conference on the nationwide takedown by the Medicare Fraud Strike Force. The operations occurred in eight cities and resulted in charges against 91 defendants for their alleged participation in Medicare fraud schemes involving nearly $300 million in false billings. Daniel Levinson briefly comments on the operations and thanks those involved, including the OIG special agents, Secretary Sebelius, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Justice, Attorney General Eric Holder, other Offices of Inspectors General, and beneficiaries.
