Ubisoft's press conference on Monday afternoon was dominated by not one but three games related to Tom Clancy franchises - "Ghost Recon," "Rainbow Six" and potential new franchise launcher "The Division". Both "The Crew" and "Trials Fusion" are getting level expansions, the "South Park" game gets a sequel, "Assassin's Creed" got its annual outing, and a new IP was unveiled with "For Honor".
Assassin's Creed Syndicate
The latest chapter in the "Assassin's Creed" series moves the action to London at the height of the industrial revolution and allows players to control siblings Jacob and Evie Frye as they try and take back the cities from the greedy Templars. The trailer was cinematic only, showing off no real gameplay footage from the title which we've already been advised will be single player only. The game also sports a dynamic weather system and a proper day/night cycle unlike 'Unity', while the PS4 version will include exclusive missions involving Evie trying to solve a series murders.
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands
The launch trailer for the next entry in the long-running strategy-shooter series was screened and it was revealed that for the first time in the series, this will be an open-world action-adventure with no cinematic sequences and no fixed narrative at all.
So there's no story missions or sidequests on offer, in fact its confirmed that there's no script at all. Instead, players (either single or in four player co-op) can travel this world's nine different environments and do missions in any order they want. The emphasis will be on player freedom and environmental realism, and there's also NPC's with their own motivations and agendas and your goal is to manipulate the factional balance.
Tom Clancy's The Division
A March 8th release date was finally locked down for the promising looking shooter with a new look at multiplayer gameplay on offer in the trailers. The gameplay allows for tactical cover-based gameplay with four players playing co-operatively against other online players. There's a twist though - players could potentially turn on their team mates and steal their loot.
The story is set in the United States in the aftermath of a virus released on Black Friday which drastically reduced the human population. The Division are a group of Homeland agents sent in as a last resort to restore order.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege
The team focused online multiplayer shooter owned them at last year's presentation, and this year's there's still excitement albeit slightly more muted. Teamwork is a big element of this game, with precision and strategy a big part of the action though you can play solo if you like with Angela Basset's character apparently playing a big part of that element. The public beta begins on September 24th.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole
A follow-up to last year's "South Park: The Stick of Truth," the new title shifts the focus from fantasy to the world of comic and super heroes. Eric Cartman becomes Coon and explores the seedy underbelly of South Park as a crime fighter, along with his pals Mysterion, Toolshed, Human Kite, Mosquito, Mint Berry Crunch and others. The game will be only Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC but no release date has yet been set with the most likely being sometime next year.
For Honor
About the only original new IP on display, "For Honor" blends competitive multiplayer fighting action with warriors from several major medieval civilizations including vikings, samurai and knights. For those who don't like shooters but are still into the social aspect of gaming, this one's for you.

Just Dance 2016
Jason Derulo was on hand to pedal this year's edition of the dance game, hitting stores October 20th. The game also boasts a new way to play thanks to smartphone app, while current-gen consoles will have access to Just Dance Unlimited which provides dozens of new songs for a yearly subscription fee.
Trackmania Turbo
The crazy racing game franchise returns with its most insane levels yet. The game is set for release on PS4, XB1 and PC on November 26th.
