Ryan Coogler will direct Chadwick Boseman in Marvel's Black Panther movie, it's been 100% confirmed.
It's definite: Marvel's Black Panther movie has its director.
As had been rumored, Ryan Coogler - currently riding high off the back of the excellent Creed - is the man who's landed the job. He will direct Chadwick Boseman in the film, which is due in cinemas on February 18th 2018.
An official statement from Marvel Studios included the following comment from its head honcho, Kevin Feige:
"We are fortunate to have such an esteemed filmmaker join the Marvel family. The talents Ryan showcased in his first two films easily made him our top choice to direct Black Panther. Many fans have waited a long time to see Black Panther in his own film, and with Ryan we know we’ve found the perfect director to bring T’Challa’s story to life »
