Ryan Gosling And Emma Stone Sing And Dance In First Look At La La Land

Continuing on with their huge batch of first looks (which have included Arms and the Dudes, Bourne 5, The Girl on the Train and many more), EW has now brought us the first photo of of Damien Chazelle’s Los Angeles-set love story/musical La La Land, which stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone as a musician and struggling actress who fall for each other.
As you can see from the image above, the two leads are singing and dancing against a beautiful sunset, emulating the classic Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers musicals. It doesn’t tell us a whole lot about what to expect from the plot, but it’s a welcome look at the highly-anticipated third effort from Chazelle.

Kill Bill 3 Is Still A Possibility According To Quentin Tarantino

We’ve been hearing about the possibility of a third Kill Bill movie for years now, but nobody has ever given us anything solid to go on. Director Quentin Tarantino himself has gone back and forth about exactly how likely it is in the past, but in a new interview with Variety, he definitely seems to have planted his feet on the more hopeful side of the fence.
I’m not committing to it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if The Bride made one more appearance before the whole thing is said and done…I am talking to Uma [Thurman] about it just a little bit. Some of the stuff that I’d written that never made it into the movie that maybe I could use.

First Look At Jonah Hill And Miles Teller In Arms And The Dudes

Entertainment Weekly has absolutely been on fire this week, giving us our first look at a number of high profile films, ranging from The Girl On The Train to Bourne 5, and of course, Doctor Strange. Now, they’ve delivered another one, this time giving us the first photo from Todd Phillips’ Arms and the Dudes.
What’s interesting to note here though is that the magazine calls it Untitled Todd Phillips Projects, which indicates that it may have undergone a title change. Whatever the case may be, this is certainly a film worth getting excited for.

Leonardo DiCaprio On Nearly Playing Spider-Man For James Cameron

As you may already know, Leonardo DiCaprio very nearly played Spider-Man in the late 90s when Avatar director James Cameron was developing the project. Electro and Sandman would have been the main villains, but neither those character nor the general plot and tone of the movie would have shared much in common with the comic books.
Now, DiCaprio has finally revealed just how close he came to playing Spider-Man, and it doesn’t sound like he was ever fitted for a costume, that’s for sure.
“Not very close, but there was a screenplay. I know he was semi-serious about doing it at some point, but I don’t remember any further talks about it. We had a couple of chats. I think there was a screenplay that I read, but I don’t remember. This was 20 years ago!”

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past few weeks, here’s a reminder that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a critical and commercial hit. The above TV spot features just some of the positive comments which have been made by reviewers, along with a handful of scenes which didn’t actually make it into the final cut of the J.J. Abrams-helmed release.
Now that Star Wars: The Force Awakens has lived up to expectations, it’s going to be very interesting to see where things go from here. Will Star Wars: Rogue One and Episode VIII come close to this movie either financially or in terms of the response from fans and critics? Even more images from Deadpool have surfaced today, with this latest batch scanned from the pages of Empire Magazine. As well as a couple of interesting behind the scenes shots from the movie, we get a new look at T.J. Miller’s Weasel and a couple of fantastic close-ups of Ryan Reynolds suited up as the Merc with the Mouth.
The question on most people’s minds right now is will Deadpool be a hit? The marketing campaign has been incredible thus far, and being featured on the cover of Empire Magazine should definitely help, but it’s still hard to say at this stage as this is such a unique property.

While director James Wan has been sharing a lot of behind the scenes images on Instagram, we now have the first official photo from The Conjuring 2. The highly anticipated horror sequel brings back Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren as they tackle an even more disturbing case than the first.
In the image above, we meet Janet (Madison Wolfe), one of the four young children of Peggy Hodgson. The family is plagued by what the director describes as, “probably one of the most documented paranormal cases in the world.”

Kevin Feige Offers Updates On Thor: Ragnarok And Marvel’s Spider-Man

While the first two Thor films struggled to stand out, Thor: Ragnarok is shaping up to be perhaps The most exciting Phase 3 release. With the God of Thunder set to fight side by side with Mark Ruffalo’s Jade Giant (in outer space no less), it’s going to be absolutely epic, and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has now dropped some interesting new details about the movie.
For one, it doesn’t sound as if we should read too much into what the threequel’s title seemingly gives away:

SFX Entertainment Loses Spotify And Tmwrk Management Partnerships

It just wouldn’t feel like the end of 2015 if we weren’t able to squeeze out one more piece of bad news for Edm conglomerate SFX Entertainment. After a year which saw disastrous stock value dives, high-profile lawsuits, major event cancellations and the flat-out endangerment of thousands of festival goers, it’s been revealed that the second company of the same name founded by Robert Sillerman’s partnerships with Spotify and Tmwrk will not extend into 2016.
As of December 17th, Spotify’s business relationship with SFX-owned download platform Beatport was officially terminated, with the latter company owing $10 million to the former to honor a clause in their original agreement. So far, $2.5 million of the total has been paid, with the remainder due by July 1st of 2016.

First Official Image From Bourne 5 Surfaces

We still don’t know what the title of the next Bourne movie is going to be (The Bourne Enemy has been widely rumoured), but we do now have a first look at Matt Damon as the titular spy in Paul Greengrass’ upcoming film.
Little is known about the plot, though the actor has at least shed some light on where things pick up for the spy when he returns to action on a quest for answers about his past:
“There’s been the financial collapse, the great recession, all these issues of cyber warfare and civil liberties. We find him in a dark and tortured place.”

Chiwetel Ejiofor Reveals New Details About His Role In Doctor Strange

Despite the fact that this week has seen some fairly sizeable reveals about the Doctor Strange characters being played by Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, and Mads Mikkelson, Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Karl Mordo has remained one of the movie’s most mysterious figures. Well, until now that is.
The Martian star has finally shed some light on what we should expect from his take on the villain, but it doesn’t sound like he’ll share that much in common with his comic book counterpart. In fact, it appears as if the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s version of Baron Mordo is going to be one of Doctor Strange’s closest allies and someone who actually works with The Ancient One rather than against her.

Kaskade Teases A Diplo Collaboration In New Interview

Every now and then a couple of artists tease a collaboration that makes the world of electronic music stand at attention for the weight carried by their names alone. Recently, progressive house heartthrob Kaskade revealed that he’s got a collaboration with none other than bass music pioneer Diplo in the works.
In an interview with Popspoken, Kaskade discussed topics ranging from piracy and drug use in the world of dance music (he’s resigned to a healthy grey area on both matters). When asked about upcoming collaborations, he mentioned:

Don’t Expect To See Thanos Appear In Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

Thanos made his first proper appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when he was revealed to be the one pulling the strings in Guardians of the Galaxy, but it doesn’t sound as if we should expect him to factor into the sequel in a similar way. In fact, his declaration of war at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron looks set to be something which leads directly (and rather appropriately) into the events of Avengers: Infinity War.
Talking in a recent interview, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed the absence of Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and teased the Mad Titan’s plans for the McU moving forward:

Warner Bros. has announced today that they will be airing a new half hour special on January 19th (following the midseason premiere of The Flash on The CW) titled DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League. Point Break makes no sense. It doesn’t seem to be trying very hard to make sense, either. A remake of the improbably fun 1991 crime thriller of the same name, 2015’s version only serves to inject excess adrenaline into this updated version of an already flimsy conceit.
After his future in the world of extreme sports takes a cliff dive, Johnny “Utah” Brigham completes a Ged, undergraduate, and law degree before entering the FBI’s training academy. His experience becomes an essential tool when a gang of skydiving thrill-seekers steals a pallet-load of stacked cash from a cargo plane, only to cut the ties and rain money on the poor villagers below. It somehow takes the expressionless lunk Utah to consider that fellow extreme athletes are behind these Robin Hood heists.

Galavant Season 2 Review

It’s been a lonely, quiet year without the screwball charm of ABC’s Galavant on television. Although the first season of the “musical comedy extravaganza” somewhat fizzled out by the end of its truncated eight-episode run, its underlying silly spirit carried a lot of weight in sticking everything from the show’s characters to its songs and jokes inside of your head long after its January finale. Galavant‘s second season improves upon that memorably anarchic humor in a way that feels revitalized and once again energetic, for the first seven episodes at least.

John Ridley Reveals Why He’s Tackling A Marvel TV Series For ABC

Over the next couple of years, Marvel and ABC will be expanding their presence on TV well beyond just Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter.
