Maria Valenta – Director of Finance and Administration
Maria Valenta joined the ICJ as Director of Finance and Administration in October 2013. Prior to ICJ, Maria was Head of Service at the Centre d’Accueil – Genève Internationale (CAGI). From 1996 to 2012, she led various administrative operations for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in numerous countries (Kosovo, Russia, Syria, Sri Lanka, Angola, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico). She also served for two years as an administrator in an import-export company in Germany. Maria holds an MA in Business and Administration from the University of Zurich.

 

Magali Constant – Finance Officer
Magali Constant joined the ICJ in March 2014. Previously, she worked for four years as accounting assistant in various accounting offices. Following several travels to developing countries, she developed a strong interest in aid organizations and completed a MASTER 1 in Administration at the Bioforce Institute in Lyon, France. Then she worked for over a year with GRET, a French NGO, providing administrative and finance support to local staff in Cambodia and Laos. This was followed by two years with Handicap International, as an Administrative Coordinator in South Sudan and a “flying” administrator in DRC, Libya and Laos.

 

Ralph Orteza – Junior Finance Officer
Ralph Orteza joined the ICJ in March 2014. He holds a Swiss business diploma (CFC) and for it has completed a required one-year internship as account manager in sales administration, which he did with Gategourmet, an aircraft catering and logistics company. He is currently aiming to obtain a Brevet Féderal specialization in finance and accounting. With the experience he will gain in the ICJ as a Junior Finance Officer, he hopes to obtain the diploma within three years. Ralph was born and raised in the Philippines until the age of 14 before moving to Geneva, Switzerland.

 

Clotilde Salomon – Senior Human Resources Officer
Clotilde Salomon joined the ICJ in March 2007. She studied at the University of Geneva and holds a Masters Degree in law. After graduating, she completed an internship at the Swiss Mission to the European Union in Brussels before working at the Geneva Public Transport Company (TPG) for a year as Legal Adviser.

 
Tomaso Cascioli – Administrative Officer
Tomaso Cascioli joined the ICJ in September 2014. In 2010, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He also studied at the University of Geneva and holds a Master Degree in Socio-economics. Prior to ICJ, Tomaso worked as an administrative assistant at World Vision International where he completed his thesis on corruption prevention within NGOs.

 

Briony
Briony Potts – Programme Officer / Assistant to the Secretary General
Briony Potts joined the ICJ in February 2014. She provides support to the ICJ Secretary-General and is responsible for liaising with the ICJ Executive Committee and Commission. Prior to joining the ICJ, Briony spent several months working in Cambodia and six years working at the UK Parliament. She studied History at the University of Warwick, holds a Masters Degree in Human Rights from Birkbeck, University of London, and a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Law Bloomsbury.
