Actor Morgan Freeman and his pilot are Ok after their plane was forced to make an “unscheduled” landing Saturday in the Mississippi town of Tunica, Fox 13 News in Memphis reported. Freeman was on a trip for a National Geographic photo shoot. Freeman later released a statement that he was en route to Texas to shoot a segment for the TV series The Story Of God. Emceed by Tig Notaro at the Paramount Theatre, Saturday night's 2015 Ida Documentary Awards in Los Angeles handed top honors to Joshua Oppenheimer's "The Look of Silence," which made the Oscar shortlist earlier this week. This PGA-nominated followup to "The Act of Killing" has a winning streak going back to Venice 2014, where Oppenheimer collected five awards including the Grand Special Jury Prize. "Act of Killing" was Ida-nominated in 2013 but lost to Netflix's "The Square." ‘The Look of Silence’ Wins Ida Award for Best Documentary of 2015

The Look of Silence,” Joshua Oppenheimer’s critically-acclaimed companion piece to “The Act of Killing,” won top honors at the International Documentary Association’s Ida Awards Saturday night. The film is one of 15 finalists squaring off for Oscar nominations this year.

Winning in the short category was Dee Hibbert-Jones and Nomi Talisman’s “Last Day of Freedom,” an animated account of Bill Babbitt’s decision to support and help his brother in the face of war, crime and capital execution, which is also on the shortlist of Academy contenders.

Robert Gordon and Morgan Neville’s “Best of Enemies,” about the 1968 televised debates between Gore Vidal and William F. Buckley Jr., won a pair of awards: best editing and the ABC News VideoSource Award.
