NX equipment prices - when will the switch occur?

I have been watching prices of new and used NX equipment over the past couple of months, mainly because I have recently sold some NX gear on eBay (because I had too much, how much backup do you need?). All sales were going well until up until about a month ago but now there is absolutely no interest. I am happy to keep the gear because it’s worth more to me as functioning cameras/lenses than the price I am likely to achieve.

But, looking around at the prices currently on eBay (UK) it’s impossible to tell that there is any problem with demand, the prices people are asking has been reasonably constant, whether it is selling in any quantity at those prices I am unsure. I am assuming there will come a point where the prices will drop considerably, but I feel that presently people are in denial about the future of the NX system and are hoping to get reasonable prices regardless.

I think that Samsung have been a little less than honest with regards their stand on the NX range and they have now dangled the carrot as to something “exciting” that is going to be announced in the new year, is this just their way of protecting retailers until all the stock has been sold? Who knows? I shall be keeping all of my Samsung equipment and hopefully adding to it at bargain prices, I just wonder when that might be?
