Year of food and drink
The Year of Food and Drink 2015 is an opportunity to spotlight, celebrate and promote Scotland's natural larder and quality produce to the people of Scotland and our visitors.
The theme year, which is led by Scottish Government, Scotland Food & Drink, VisitScotland, EventScotland and Think Local aims to highlight and promote Scotland's plentiful quality produce, and demonstrate that Scotland is a great destination for delicious food and drink.
Scotland's abundant natural larder provides fantastic seafood, game, fungi, berries, venison, honey, nuts and an enormous range of edible plants. A growing interest in provenance and authenticity is driving a wild food revival, helping people to make the connections between nature and healthy and delicious gourmet ingredients.
Our Scotland's Natural Larder project is at the forefront of efforts to reconnect people with fresh, local and seasonal food from the wild, helping them to make the most of sustainably harvested and hunted food.
The Year of Food and Drink 2015 promises to be a feast of all that's good in Scottish food and drink.
