Eddie Newton bails Casey out of jail a few hours after she is arrested. However, Casey presumably would have faced federal charges for attempting to break into a federal facility; in the United States, bail in federal cases is determined in a bail hearing by a magistrate in federal district court, and generally must be paid in cash. This is unlike state criminal charges, which often have prescribed bail that can be paid by a bondsman soon after arrest.
Despite his connections at NASA, it's highly unlikely that Eddie could have arranged a bail hearing and paid her bail in a matter of hours in the middle of the night; she more likely would have been held until late in the next business day to allow time for the hearing and payment arrangements. Conversely, if Eddie had convinced NASA police not to charge her yet, there would be no reason for him to tell her that he had bailed her out. See more »

Frank Walker:
Are they on?
Casey Newton:
Yep, so introduce yourself.
Frank Walker:
Okay. Hey, I'm Frank, how you doing? Don't answer that, that's rhetorical. Okay, let's get you up to speed... this is a story about the future, and the future can be scary...
Casey Newton:
[Casey interrupts and the scene pauses for a moment]
Mmm...
Frank Walker:
What?
Casey Newton:
You sure you want to go with scary?
Frank Walker:
Yes I want to go with scary.
Casey Newton:
Okay!
Frank Walker:
Okay!

I can't believe the bad reviews. I also can't believe that nobody understood what they accomplished with this film. It's Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged! They managed to take that book and bring it up to date while making it accessible to all ages. That is a fantastic feat in and of itself. To also make it really entertaining is extraordinary. Cerebral and action packed, it holds the attention of the young right to the end. And the end? The film was the pin that showed the audience what could be if only we don't give up and just make things better. Atlas Shrugged and then asked for help. Everybody should see this film. Now. Oh, ignore the comments about continuity. Does it really matter? Artistic licence anyone? Right my review is over but I have to keep writing because it won't post unless I fill the minimum line count.
