Getting back to a Nikon1

I sold my N1 V1 outfit recently in an attempt to lay away as much money as possible before prices are pushed further down by the advent of the V4 - My aim was to fund a V4 when it arrives. I find, however, that I am unhappy without the camera and have decided to delay the V4 and get another example from this series anyway.
1. I've had a V1 and liked it a lot - it's weird in many ways and restricting in others, but I captured loads of rapid events that my Sony RX10 simply cannot handle.
2. I think V3s are too expensive to allow me to find enough funds for a V4 at some point in the future - because I'm sure to get hit with a chunky loss on resale when and if the V4 turns out to be as good as is likely.
3. So 1 and 2 leave me with a choice between a V1 or a V2 and I'd like to have your thoughts on that dilemma. It's not resolution that draws me towards a V2, 10.4Mpx is enough for me, but I have no experience with the faster capture rate of the V2, nor with its altered interface.
So I'm seeking advice on the best choice to make.
