Trivia

The Gray Fox, voiced by Wes Johnson, frequently uses the exclamation "Capital!" when he is pleased with a task the player completes for him. This may be a homage to Wes Johnson's job as the arena announcer of the NHL's Washington Capitals. Johnson is also the voice of the Imperial City Arena announcer as well. Bethesda Game Studios bases out of Bethesda, Maryland, for which the Washington Capitals is considered their home team. See more »

Goofs

When the "Rumors" dialog subject is selected from a female Dunmer, the character will talk about a break-in at the palace. The spoken dialog matches the subtitles until the end, then the actress is heard to say "Wait, let me try that again," and the entire dialog is repeated, but there are no accompanying subtitles and the character avatar is not animated as if speaking. Quotes

[first lines]
Emperor Uriel Septim VII: I was born 87 years ago. For 65 years I've ruled as Tamriel's emperor, but for all these years, I've never been the ruler of my own dreams. I have seen the gates of Oblivion, beyond which no waking eye may see. Behold, in darkness, a doom sweeps the land. This is the 27th of Last Seed, the year of Akatosh, 433. These are the closing days of the third era, and the final hours of my life.

Wow!!! This is everything I wished for and more!!!
21 March 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

I just got my copy of Elder Scrolls Oblivion, and what can I say besides This is Possibly THE GREATEST GAME EVER!!!! Even more than Halo 2, Final Fantasy VII, and Metroid!

I'll start off by saying that Cyrodill(the gaming world) Is FREAKING HUGE! It makes GTA San Andreas look like the size of a sandbox, plus it's a living breathing world every NPC acts like a real human being(i.e beginning random conversations, hunting, etc) the AI is wonderful!

The graphics, Oh My the graphics in this game are unbelievable, Trees sway in the breeze of the wind, Forest are lush and dense, Every single spec of detail can be seen on the armour and weapons, and characters show realistic emotions. Possibly the best looking game EVER!!!

In all this is Quite possibly the most deep, fun, and amazing game I have ever played!!! I think every RPG that comes out in the future will have to somehow do better than Oblivion, something that I think will be highly unlikely!!!

Buy an Xbox 360 and play this game NOW!!!

Overall 10/10
