Watch: George Lopez Parodies Donald Trump’s ‘SNL’ Hosting Gig

18 minutes ago | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Funny or Die has teamed up with George Lopez to parody a certain controversial Republican presidential candidate.

Lopez makes his return to Funny or Die as Donaldo Trumpez, a Mexican version of Donald Trump. Trump has been under fire for controversial comments about the Hispanic community.

In the clip, Trumpez hosts the popular “Noche De Sabado En Vivo” — which reads “Saturday Night Live” in Spanish — and entertains the audience with guests, parodies and characters.

The cold open has Lopez’s Trumpez dressed in a large costume for the character, Humpty Trumpty.

“Humpty Trumpty sat on a wall,” sang a Mariachi band in full swing. “Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.” Trumpez quickly adds, “In the polls!”

Trumpez recites a speech in Spanish that reflects many of Trump’s controversial remarks: referring to a female candidate as “ugly,” assuming a foreigner to be a rapist and building a wall that borders Mexico and the United States. »
