Best Festival Orange County 2014 - UVSA Tet Festival
The Orange County UVSA Tet Festival has been going on for so long it's easy to forget it's basically run by a bunch of students. But what a good job they do. These kids put together one of the largest, most successful Lunar New Year celebrations in the United States year in and year out. In 2014, the festival left Garden Grove for the first time in the better part of a decade over some fee shenanigans, but the move to the Orange County Fairgrounds was a blessing in disguise: No more dirty park, actual parking, concrete floors, personal space? Comforts that can only make lion dances, fire crackers and Vietnamese food even better.
