Have not we have lost that 10x zoom pocket camera range?

Dear all,

some friends want to buy a new pocket camera (not the slimmest version)

Their old camera is the

They really want the 10x zoom range and they find that 5x is too low.

I have tried to convince them to stay in the 4x or 5x range so they can have a 1 inch sensor but they insist about that 10x zoom range. It looks like though that once you leave the 5x zoom range you have to go to the 1/2.3 sensors and there is no camera that sits between.

Perhaps a 1/1.7 sensor with a a 10x zoom .

Is there anything like that? 10x zoom region with larger sensor than the 1/2.3?
