The Buzz: David Gordon Green's dramatization of Rachel Boynton's 2005 documentary finds itself in an odd critical arena: there are nods-to-raves for Sandra Bullock's performance as a political-campaign strategist, but there's little praise for the actual moviemaking. Some people point to the script from Peter Straughan, which is weird because he had a hand in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and "Wolf Hall," while others say Green's direction doesn't make much of the story's dramatic or comedic elements. We'll see if the adults show up for Sandra or not.

Certificate R   -   Comedy | Horror

The Buzz: While Paramount tests out their controversial shortening of the theatrical-to-VOD window -- which finds theaters boycotting their releases -- it looks like one of the more fun movies of the year could wind up becoming a casualty of a studio experiment. So much had changed in the six short years since Zombieland broke loose.

  -   Drama | Romance

Metascore: 54/100 (10 reviews)
Murphy is an American living in Paris who enters a highly sexually and emotionally charged relationship with the unstable Electra. Unaware of the effect it will have on their relationship, they invite their pretty neighbor into their bed.
Director:

The Buzz: We read somewhere that Gaspar Noe's movies share a common element: one of complete deep-seated immersion. Love, the director has shared, represents his feeling that the world needs new erotic cinema, and he's overloaded his new project with imagery that appealed to him first as a teenager. Interestingly, the movie, which spent 17 years in the making, was almost made by Vincent Cassel and Monica Bellucci at one point. Apparently they passed on the idea because of the graphic sex scenes, though they did make the notorious Irreversible together with the director. Of course, when you read an interview with Noe, you get the feeling he enjoys fiction and fantasy in equal measure, while dashes of fact peppered in.

The Buzz: Alice Rohrwacher's follow up to Corpo celeste won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

Certificate PG-13 Drama | Sport

The Buzz: Interesting idea to try and market a feel-bad sports story. Remember the Carter High Cowboys are the 'other team' in the "Friday Night Lights" real-life fairy tale. Former Carter High Cowboy Arthur Muhammad directs from his own script.
