Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ300 hands-on preview

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 was one of our favorite superzooms of 2012. The main reason was its lens, with a consistent F2.8 aperture and equivalent focal length of 25-600mm. Image quality was very good, the flip-out LCD handy, and the manual controls plentiful.

July 2015 has finally brought a replacement to the FZ200 which, as you might have guessed, is named the FZ300. This camera may retain the same sensor and lens as its predecessor, but the additions Panasonic has made mean that it feels like something totally new.

The FZ300 is priced at $599 and will be available in mid-October. Click through this slideshow for a closer look.
