What is a Pro?

One definition is a photographer who makes his living as a photographer? There are pros and there are those who call themselves pros. Just because one is or calls one's self a pro is no guarantee they are excellent photographers. As a former Ad agency owner I have hired many "pros" Some were excellent. Some were average and some were bad. Being a "pro" in no guarantee of the photographers ability. The proof of the pudding is the pictures they take. The word "pro" does not impress me.
