"I can simply set ISO to auto and forget it." I've heard this refrain from people. It's not a great idea. I see noise in darker areas with 80 ISO shots with Sony's new a7RII so we have a ways ...

I seriously question whether Sandisk is honest about their transfer speeds. I had an 80mb/s Sandisk Extreme Pro and a lowly Kingston micro SD converter card was faster!! This wasn't the first ...

Duplicate the shots using a more controlled subject and shoot the same ones with the mechanical shutter and see if you can get a repeat.

Might want to carefully inspect the bayonet mount, given what happened to another poster's D810.

Terrific work, well thought-out and executed.

DxO One. Fresh out of the gates, totally unproven and it's on the list and it wins a PRIZE??!

"Cold day in Hell" before that happens. Maybe they sharp but traditional 90mm macro? If it were f/2.0 instead of the usual f/2.8, it would be on a list?
-
The Sigma is a prime and costs $900. The Canon is an ultrawide zoom that costs $3000. Why compare them at all, because they share one focal length?

Agree about most but not EVF's. OVF's are simply not as good anymore, especially for macro or any other time when critical manual focusing is needed. OVF's are for composing a scene, not much else.

One has a good body, the other the body of a consumer camera. I don't even think they are really in the same class.

I had a Nikon D300 for three years and the textured paint was never abraded in that time. Meanwhile, Olympus stuff is highly susceptible to being marred. Maybe some annoying "environmental" rule ...

So every one of their current lenses are just old 645 film lenses, or simply reskinned?
-
Worse yet, the company that does own the name as you pointed out no longer makes cameras, that I know of.
-
Canon's T70 was the first of the junky plastic bodies released in the 1980's, but it sold because it was dirt cheap.
-
Pentax did it with the 645.

I think mirrorless bodies with sensor sizes no one else has IS different. Obtuse a lot, are we?
-
What I find is depressing is that an end-of-line Kodak P&S I paid $20 for has an anti-reflection coating on its LCD while some cameras costing many times as much don't. Talk about CHEAP!

Or those who just can't STAND that what they think is right isn't what others do.

I wouldn't do like Sony, throwing camera after camera against the wall, hoping finally one or two models stuck. Who knows how long it'll take them to earn back all the money they lost over the ...

Honestly, if those screws were mounted in PLASTIC, I'd be FAR more worried about any heavier lenses on that mount than the camera!!! What is Nikon THINKING??!
