Very nice job on the blood moon ... tough shot on a tiny sensor. The gull is also very nice ...

I pop into this site every couple of months these days, so I missed your reply. It would appear that your competitiveness is ingrained, so my apologies for assuming that you were envious. My bad. Y ...

A review with a comment like that would be instantly trash in my eyes. Even 2mp makes a decent print and 3 makes a decent 8x10. I've made good posters with the 4mp D2Hs. Sheesh ... The EM10II is ...

Product guys who don't have a tilt shift lens might go nuts over this ... especially if they can use it with fast strobes ... does it make use of the interval timer?
-
You admit that face recognition gives the best results ... and you admit that you have illogical skepticism about the feature ... so what was the point of creating a thread to ask for ideas? I use ...

My thoughts are that your post screams envy and a little puerility. Nothing about that video looked ridiculous to me. They are carrying a lot of equipment, and probably because someone is willing ...

Technically, it would be a good idea ... but I've shot the 100-300 with tripod collar for a while now with the GM1 and G6 and frankly, I've seen no evidence that it is a problem. But I have not ...

Interesting how differently different people see it ... well, I'm pretty sure that I will side with you two when I eventually grab one (presuming that the GX8 does not entice too much) ... I found ...

One of my favourite relevant song titles comes from Lily Allen. I doubt that you will have to look very hard to find it ....
-
Yes, I am starting to reconsider ... the changes to the size, grip and LCD articulation all make for a photographer's camera. The weight will allow it to handle larger lenses as well as or better ...
-
Yes, I have been reconsidering that after studying images of the GX8. The new grip is a photographer's grip, whereas the GX7 sported the thick end of a baseball bat. Also, they changed the LCD to ...

If the new sensor is any good at all, we will surely see a G8 with it in 2 years. By which time the GX9 will come out with the ability to perform alchemy. As it is, Panasonic continues to ...

Your quoting of the famous parable would have scored big points had I not mentioned multiple times in this thread that I will end up with the G7 at some point anyway ... But a nice try for sure.
-
In my reality, Panasonic should not ignore obvious features while charging as if they were there. There is no excuse for some of the omissions you mention ... especially the last two.
-
Size-wise, the GM5 might be a nice option. Lack of built in flash would suck though. If you decide to go cheap, the GM1 is a wicked bit of fun with an amazingly sharp lens
-
I shoot the G6 and original 14-140 so shutter shock is a non issue. Buying up and then finding shutter shock hitting me would be a brutal price. Yet Panasonic continues to make cameras and lenses ...

I already have the GM1 and EPM2 with equivalent sensors ... so it is not going to be a revelation to me. On the other hand, I will enjoy the feature set and revel in the fact that I was only ...

You are right ... I have owned fewer than 8 Nikon bodies in the last decade and so I could not possibly have a valid opinion on how they work .... Nikon is not perfect and I did not claim that. But ...
-
Even in USD the price for body only is nuts ... it's a rangefinder ... it is not a pro camera ...

You can try to broadly classify the lines all you want ... but ... The GX line continues to omit pro" features like live HDMI output and a headphone jack. The camera has removed the obnoxious grip ...
