I still have a top of the line 36 inch Sony old analog TV at basement ,resolution maybe 720x480

I have a Seagate media player hook up to it that can play 1080p files

u won't believe how nice it look for some good quality 1080p files on a less than 1 megapixel TV

megapixel may not be as important as people think, in this case it look nice because of color and contrast

The more artistic aspect of photography is totally not related to megapixel.  I would say most important is color and contrast than dynamic range and noise.

Those really understand would agree resolution the least important except (which is of course very useful) for digital zoom/cropping
