Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play is a sequel set 19 years after the last book

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will be a sequel to the original series and is set 19 years after the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

The 'theatrical event' in two parts is billed as the eighth part of the series. It is based on a new story by Jk Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany.

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn't much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

The opening performances of Part One and Part Two are on Saturday, »

Vin Diesel says his Fast & Furious co-star Luke Evans should play James Bond

Daniel Craig's latest James Bond outing Spectre isn't even out in cinemas yet, but speculation is already mounting as to who'll be his 007 successor.

Tom Hardy? Idris Elba? Everyone has an opinion, and none other than Vin Diesel has thrown a new contender into the ring.

Speaking to Digital Spy to promote The Last Witch Hunter, the actor said that his Fast & Furious 6 co-star Luke Evans would make a good Bond.

Welsh actor Evans played Brit villain Owen Shaw in the Fast sequel, and Diesel admitted that the character brought a "Bond-like" feel to the series.

The Last Witch Hunter sees Diesel's immortal warrior Kaulder zip around New York in a sleek black Aston Martin, a car familiar to 007 fans.

"Although this is a fantasy adventure, there are a lot of people who come out of the film and when they list off all the movies that this film references for them, »

Watch a zombie get his penis ripped off in Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse

Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse has unveiled an extremely Nsfw clip exclusively through Digital Spy.

The extended scene (viewable above) will probably make you bring up your breakfast, seeing as it features a Scout dangling for dear life from a member of the undead's penis.

You don't see this kind of thing on The Walking Dead!

The film sees the fate of the human race put in the hands of three teenage Scouts and a cocktail waitress (Sarah Dumont), after a sleepy town in the Us suffers an infestation of killer zombies.

The horror comedy comes from Christopher B Landon, writer of last year's Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones.

X-Men star Tye Sheridan, Patrick Schwarzenegger (yes, son of Arnie!), David Koechner and Cloris Leachman all appear in the film, which opens in cinemas on November 6 with previews over Halloween. »

Watch the awesome Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer again – this time dubbed with only Brooklyn accents

The final trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens lit a firestorm on social media this week – but imagine how much better it would have been with Brooklyn accents.

Thankfully, Jimmy Kimmel Live! roped its local Brooklyn crew to fill Jj Abrams' epic teaser with the blunt and very loud native sounds of New York.

Even before cueing the clip, Jimmy Kimmel was at his most irreverent: "All we know is the Force awakens – and the last thing it remembers is getting a drink from Bill Cosby."

What followed was nearly two minutes of Brooklyn-style shouting and cursing over The Force Awakens's dogfight between the Resistance and the First Order.

Sure, Kylo Ren promising vengeance for the fallen Darth Vader was powerful. It's even better with an added: "Oh my god – what happened to your friggin' face?"

Odd are that Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Bb-8 probably enjoyed »

Eric Stoltz's Back to the Future footage may see the light of day after all

The sought-after footage of Eric Stoltz as the original Marty McFly in Back to the Future may see the light of day, it seems.

Footage of Stoltz's four weeks shooting the sci-fi classic have remained in studio vaults for 30 years - with only brief snippets being released as a Blu-ray extra.

Discussing these so-called 'lost scenes', Back to the Future co-writer Bob Gale refused to rule out releasing them in some form.

"I'm not going to say never," he said (via text). "We did not destroy the footage, because we expect that sometime, in some future anniversary, we may let it get out there.

"They may see it sometime. I'm not going to say for sure, much less when. But I will say that we had the opportunity to completely destroy it. And we did not. So, it does exist in a vault somewhere."

Gale would later caution that Stoltz's »

With excitement ramping up over the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, four new stills have been released as part of Total Film's new cover story.

In them, we see Gal Godot's Wonder Woman seemingly primed to fight, Batman and Superman facing off, and behind-the-scenes shots of the cast and crew in action.

Henry Cavill, who plays Superman, posted the magazine cover on social media yesterday (21 October), which features Wonder Woman prominently.

Also this week, Michael Shannon revealed that General Zod will say a few lines in the upcoming movie: "I say some stuff. But not a whole lot! I mean, I am dead.

"I'm just like a ghost. It's kind of like Russell Crowe in the first one. Jor-El. For some reason, these Kryptonian spirits, they linger. Even once you crack my neck, you can't shut me up."

Sam Mendes and Daniel Craig wanted Bond to do the "hat toss" in Spectre, but decided not to include it

Remember when Sean Connery used to walk into M's office and throw his hat on the hat stand?

Well, Daniel Craig really wanted to do that too - but there was a good reason why it didn't happen.

Spectre review: Daniel Craig embraces Bond's classic formula, but it doesn't pack Skyfall's emotional punch

Spectre reviews are in: Does the new James Bond movie have a licence to thrill or is it just another Quantum?

"We just don't wear hats any more," Craig said at a recent Spectre press junket. "I'd love to walk into the office and throw it, and we did discuss it at one point.

"We have gone back to that office, and it's... there. You think, 'God, I'd love to do it'.

"There are things that just don't work any more, but that's part of the fun of it: 'How can we do it and make it of this moment? »

Alice Eve on the Hollywood gender pay gap: 'Right now, we absolutely must fight'

Alice Eve stars in new short film Lithgow Saint - inspired by the excruciating encounter between Helen Mirren and Michael Parkinson in the mid-seventies and the prevalent prurient attitude towards women at that time.

The provocative piece - directed by Alice's brother Jack Eve and co-starring Jason Isaacs - sees Alice playing fictional actress Amelia Adams, who calls out Isaacs's lewd talk-show host Lithgow Saint for his sexist questioning.

It's intended to encourage conversations about existing inequalities between men and women, with Alice Eve telling Digital Spy: "I think we've come a long away [since then] - the fact that the conversation is now so alive and so topical is fantastic.

"At the same time we've still got a long way to go - women still on the whole get paid 17% less than men and that's across the board, nurses included, which is kind of mind-boggling. And there are lots of areas »

Daniel Craig on quitting James Bond: "I have the right to change my mind"

The current incarnation of James Bond, Daniel Craig, has revealed that those quitting rumours are just that.

Speaking to Digital Spy and other journalists at the Spectre press junket, Craig said: "I have the right to change my mind any time I want. And sometimes I say things, like I did when I was asked two days after I just finished shooting for eight months, 'Would I do another one?'

"That's what was on my mind, and I said what was on my mind. It's the way I've always spoken. But as I said, I reserve the right to change my mind."

So if you think Spectre is going to be Daniel Craig's last outing as 007, think again - even with those wrist-slashing comments.

He has one more movie in his contract with Eon, and with the great reviews, Spectre is set to do just as well at »

Bryce Dallas Howard won't be running in heels in Jurassic World 2

Bryce Dallas Howard says her Jurassic World character won't be in heels for the sequel.

Many cinemagoers who saw this year's dinosaur blockbuster complained about the fact that Claire spent the movie running in impractical high-heeled shoes. But Howard reassured fans that the footwear won't be making an appearance in 2018.

"[Director Colin Trevorrow] told me, when the sequel was happening, when it got greenlit and that I was going to be in it, he texted me, '#NoHeels2018'," she told Collider. "And I was like, 'Yeah boy!'"

However, the star added that she didn't understand all the controversy surrounding the heels in the first place.

"That is something I didn't expect at all," she said.

"From my perspective, of course it's illogical for her to be in heels in the jungle [but] she never intended to go into the jungle. And if she were in flats, that would be a cheat. That »

Sony could lose the rights to the James Bond franchise following Spectre's budget concerns

Spectre has been welcomed with favourable reviews by critics, but it might not be all good news for its studio Sony.

The Hollywood Reporter notes how the latest instalment could be the last James Bond film the studio makes with MGM, which owns the rights to the franchise.

Spectre review: Daniel Craig embraces Bond's classic formula, but it doesn't pack Skyfall's emotional punch

Sony's latest two-deal picture with MGM expires with Spectre, and producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson are expected to listen to offers from other studios for the next 007 outing.

Emails leaked in last year's high-profile Sony hack suggested that the budget for Spectre had spiralled beyond Skyfall's $210m and into the "mid-£300 millions" - although it's since been claimed that the final net budget is around $250m.

A message from Broccoli herself to then-Sony co-chair Amy Pascal was also leaked, in which the producer »

Great Scott! Imagine if Marty McFly and Doc Brown actually saw the real 2015? Well imagine no more as the two time-travelling adventurers turned up on Jimmy Kimmel last night (October 21).

As part of Back to the Future Day, Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd appeared as their iconic characters, and were not exactly impressed by what they saw - namely selfies, cronuts and a lack of flying cars.

Leonardo DiCaprio slept in animal carcasses for Alejandro González Iñárritu's The Revenant

Leonardo DiCaprio was pushed to the limit in The Revenant, as he revealed that he had to sleep in animal carcasses and eat raw bison liver for the movie. Pleasant.

The Hollywood star offered a glimpse of what he had to endure while taking on the lead role in Alejandro González Iñárritu's upcoming thriller.

"I can name 30 or 40 sequences that were some of the most difficult things I've ever had to do - whether it's going in and out of frozen rivers, or sleeping in animal carcasses, or what I ate on set," he told Yahoo.

"[I was] enduring freezing cold and possible hypothermia constantly."

When asked what he had to eat for the film, DiCaprio replied: "I certainly don't eat raw bison liver on a regular basis.

"When you see the movie, you'll see my reaction to it, because Alejandro kept it in. It says it all. It was an instinctive reaction. »

Star Wars: Mark Hamill told JJ Abrams he wanted Luke Skywalker to turn evil ... 10 years ago

Mark Hamill's absence from the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailers has left many fans scratching their heads - and others furiously speculating that he's hiding in the shadows after succumbing to the Dark Side.

Adding fuel to the Evil Luke fire is a resurfaced video from a 2005 episode of movie chatshow Dinner for Five.

Hamill, sitting with his future Star Wars director Jj Abrams, revealed that he originally pitched George Lucas the idea of Luke going bad for Return of the Jedi, only to have it shot down.

"As an actor that would be more fun to play," Hamill said of his potential character switch.

"I just thought that's the way it was going from when we finished [Empire Strikes Back] ... I'll have to come back, but it will be I have Han Solo in my crosshairs, and I'll be about to kill him or about to kill the Princess »

Spectre: Léa Seydoux has a question for Daniel Craig in a new clip from the latest 007 movie

Spectre reviews are in: Does the new James Bond movie have a licence to thrill?

Madeleine Swann quizzes James Bond about life as an assassin in a new clip from Spectre.

The scene in question sees stars Léa Seydoux and Daniel Craig aboard a train in Morocco as they head towards villain Franz Oberhauser's (Christoph Waltz) lair.

Watch the clip above to see Craig deliver a quippy riposte to Seydoux's assassin remark, and take note of Bond's white tuxedo/red carnation combo - a nice tip of the hat to Sean Connery in Goldfinger.

Spectre, out on October 26 in the UK and November 6 in the Us, will be the longest 007 outing yet at a hefty 148 minutes.

Expect plenty of bloodshed, too, as the movie found itself trimmed down to get a 12A certificate after initially heading for a 15. »
