What Premiere Version are you using? CC 2015? It's crap, full of bugs, try CC 2014... way less problems. Not sure if it also will solve your case, but give it a shot!

Doesn't look retro to me. More like a modern DSLR with some some pronounced edges. Olympus OM-D is much more "retro" design than this is.

It has never been a real issue, but yes, it's fixed with the firmware update and 1/8sec anti shock option.
