I’m not sure you understand what I mean and maybe it’s my poor English
but a 300mm on a 6x9cm film is about the same as a 135mm on FF.
I can’t see the „rather odd” in that and even a big studio is not necessary for normal product photography

As I wrote before, the 90mm is too short for decent product photography on FF.
A 135mm would be nice, a 150mm even better.
Even when such lens would cost ±3000 euro it would be sold to a lot of studio (product) photographers.
I’m happy with my 90mm TS-E on my 70D but not on my 5D2.
Buying a SinarP3, back and all those fancy Rodenstocks isn’t an option.
That’s 40-50K(?) against 7-6,5K Euro (5DSr+135-150 TS-E)
