Welcome
On behalf of the Local Organising Committee it is a great pleasure to invite you to the College’s 2013 annual Scientific Conference to be held at Twickenham Stadium, the home of England rugby.
The 2013 conference theme is “expanding horizons in emergency medicine.” The scientific programme encompasses the full spectrum of emergency care and is looking to cover a range of contemporary clinical and management themes. You will also have access to a number of practical workshops like “Sports injury” and “Safety”. Within the programme we will address the best of innovation in the devolved nations and provide the best of CPD from our recent programmes. As always, the autumn conference will include a full APEM programme including original research.
Your participation is key in submission of abstracts (deadline for submission 31 May 2013) and participation in discussion, sharing and collaboration.
I am pleased to welcome a number of very distinguished plenary speakers and of course our international delegates who will bring added quality and value to the programme. I am grateful to all our industry sponsors for their continued support which enables us to organise and deliver this exciting conference.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to socialise at the traditional opening evening drinks reception (including access to pitch side facilities) and the gala dinner on the second evening.
I and my fellow members of the Local Organising Committee look forward to welcoming you to RCEM 2013.
Yours sincerely,
Chair, Local Organising Committee
