Considering a d800

Positives for the d800

size (I have large hands and it feels better in the hand)

Finder (I wear glasses and the larger round finder seems much easier to see out of)

Button layout (I am a fan of the control layout on the 800/810 chassis as well)

Trap Focus

File size (I have no qualm with my 24mpx so 36 is not a big sell for me)

Weight

So adding a d800 would for me be a strictly ergonomic decision. The only thing that it would offer me in a photographic sense is a better af system (im happy with my current af though) and a 1/8000 shutter (I dont find myself needing that often)

Is there anything I should know about the d800 that is possibly an unseen downside? My understanding is that my d610 is a rebadged d600 and therefore the d800 and d610 are of the same "generation" so colors, noise, and menus should be the same or similar. I understand as well that dynamic range is pretty close too.

Anyone care to throw around an opinion?
