26/04/2012 United States of America notify one BSE outbreak
In a report of immediate notification sent to the OIE, United States of America notified that one outbreak of BSE has occurred in a farm in the state of California. The affected cattle has been destroyed.

03/05/2011 Switzerland reports that BSE outbreak is closed
In a final report sent to the OIE, Switzerland reports that the outbreak of bovine spongiform encephalopathy having started in April 2011 is closed. It is an atypical BSE case found in one cattle born in 2003 and diagnosed in the context of fallen stock surveillance.
