If you’re looking for the top universities in the US and Canada, be sure to check out the QS World University Rankings®. In the 2014/15 edition of the rankings, two of the top five places are taken by US universities, with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) ranked 1st in the world and Harvard 4th. Other US universities in the world’s top 10 are Stanford (7th), Caltech (8th), Princeton (9th) and Yale (10th).

Like its neighbor, Canada is also home to many of the world’s top universities, with three entries in the top 50: University of Toronto (20th), McGill University (21st) and the University of British Columbia (43rd).
