That crop does look amazing - you know why ? because that is the shot, not the pulled back shot it was cropped from, the pulled back looks zzzzzzz the close in shot has a bit of emotion to it, doesn't look quite so staged. I like the cropped in framing, the pulled back does nothing for me. Not trying to be rude just passing an opinion.

Thanks. The full body shot is one my model's top picks for the shoot we've completed. For the crop pic I was just trying to show the advantage of a full-res picture as I didn't even notice the spider's web until I zoomed in.

The one below is my choice but the bottom line is this 50MP camera gives me a lot of cropping options.

very exquisite shot and crop of a good looking lady! i am being convinced of going 5Ds/r (or one of them) every time i see shots like this but still waiting for the next few cameras that are due real soon! i know this analogy has been beaten to death but i am not in a hurry

Thanks for the compliments. I've waited long enough to upgrade my 5DMKII and the 5Ds surely is a worthwhile replacement. Hope Canon delivers the 5DMKIV/1DXII or any others that you are waiting for soon.
