D750 All Purpose Lens - What Say You?

I'm buying a D750. I'm not a professional. I'm a dad that enjoys taking shots of his family -- holidays, birthdays, weekend sports, school events, park. I love it. I enjoy using manual settings because it engages me in the activity of photography. I'm sticking with a DSLR because I prefer the OVF, and I like the handling. I'm using full frame because (1) I love the larger OVF and (2) I can't stand the "water color" compression and smearing rendered by the jpegs of 1" and smaller sensors. I'm not a pixel peeper; but, yes, I do notice that my iPhone pictures look like mush. And, yes, I shoot jpegs. Not for portraits; but for weekend soccer games and, for example, the chaos of Christmas morning, yes, I use jpeg. And, yes, I agree that APS-C has some killer sensors -- my current D5300 included. But I've been using APS-C for a few years, and I'm graduating.

So ... now that you know who I am ... on to my questions. I'm really interested, which would you buy [if you were me], and why:

(1) Tamron 24-70 f.2.8 currently on sale at B&H for $1,099 ($200 off)

(2) Sigma 24-104 f4.0 for $899.00; or

(3) Nikon 24-120 f4.0 for the kit price of $500.

The "and why" is important. I don't particularly care about the extra stop the Tamron offers, but, at $200 off the $1,299 price, it is a compelling option. I do care about focusing speed and focusing accuracy. I care about weight, but weight is not determinative because, as a non-professional, I don't lug gear around all day. I'm leaning Sigma -- newest, more range.

What say you? What am I missing?
