DP Merrills - how are the images holding up now?

With all the New & Improved stuff in the marketplace, how are the images from the DP1-3 Merrills holding up in comparison?

Thinking of the DP2 and tripod use to complement the 8x10 in the field. If something else gets the quality I can go newer and probably have fewer headaches. So, any real world experience with what is new and how it compares in final image form?
