Yeah, I refrained from jumping onto Olympus' cashback bandwagon and getting 75-300, because of this announcement. I will probably not be able to afford it anyway (the Leica brand suggest a premium price-tag).

I will also be interested to see if the rumor of it being f/4 from 100-300, and then going to f/6.3 from 300-400 holds true or not.

Was there ever such a rumor? That seems so unrealistic and far-fetched that I'm sure someone just pulled it out of their a**.
