"A documented gang member with a significant criminal history," and who should be considered armed and dangerous, is being sought for the stabbing murder of a 22-year-old Laguna Niguel man Monday, according to Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesman Lt. Jeff Hallock. How significant? Suspect Craig Tanber was previously arrested for the murder of an OC man in 2004.

Santa Ana's Homeless Say Police Increasing Confiscation of Belongings

Members of the Civic Center Roundtable, a self-organized group of homeless people living in Santa Ana, say police have increased confiscation of the homeless' belongings. They claim that, before, the police used to check their belongings a couple times a week. Now, they are now checking every day. According to Roundtable member Lorenzo Benitez, the police received complaints from county employees about the homeless' belongings and are confiscating those they consider "hazardous materials."

The walls of Monte Livingston's Living Art Gallery Tattoo Lounge are decorated not with tattoo flash, but fine art and paintings. The tranquil waiting area is sectioned off from the drawing/painting/tattooing area by a set of large glass doors; the whole thing looks like a more appropriate place for paint brushes than tattoo needles. That's just how Livingston wants it, and exactly why he's hosting a an art show there this Saturday.

Anaheim continues to be a doggy dogg world!

At Tuesday's city council meeting, Mayor Pro Tem Lucille Kring spoke candidly about the benefits of dog parks. She championed hooch hangouts as a great recreational boost to the city that also drive away those pesky homeless folks. The Voice of OC jotted down her priceless "dogs first" parks policy. "It's wonderful for the dogs. It's wonderful for the owners, and it really keeps the homeless out," says Kring!

Ping Li was the owner of Massage Clover in San Clemente.
Ping Li, the San Clemente massage parlor owner convicted of sexual battery of four women, was sentenced Thursday to a year and five days in jail, three years formal probation, restitution, a $500 payment to the Victim Witness Emergency Fund and the kicker: mandatory lifetime sex offender registration.

Cherie the French Bulldog has had an adventurous journey. She grew up in a home that didn't treat her with the love she deserved and found her way into the open arms of the French Bulldog Rescue. She soon discovered her forever home with Amy and Dan Nykolayko in Newport Beach and after visiting the beach a few times, she couldn't stay out of the water.
