SAG-aftra president Ken Howard, who has led the union and its predecessor, SAG, since 2009, was re-elected to an additional two-year term Thursday night, the union announced. Howard, running on the Unite for Strength slate, received 53.74 percent, while challenger Patricia Richardson, a Membership First candidate, garnered 46.26 percent. Turnout was not immediately announced.
But in an upset, Mf’s Jane Austin (52.72 percent) bested Ufs’s Jenny O’Hara (47.28 percent). The split results signal a degree of discontent among members.
