Hmmm... Another Reality Show; So What?

Supposedly, 'Kamao' was the show to end the reign of the current reality show 'Extra Challenge' of the other channel. However, it once again failed miserably to fulfill the purpose as commanded by the parent network ABS CBN.

'Kamao' is a boxing reality contest 'patterned' again (or should i say 'photocopied' again) from the US based reality contest 'The Next Great Champ' produced by boxing champ Oscar Dela Hoya. 11 Filipino contenders go through tough challenges to become the champion boxer of them all. 'Kamao' is hosted by Robin Padilla, Vina Morales (no relation to Erik Morales; they do have the same body build, though) and the occasional appearance of Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao.

However, the appearance of the 'Pac-Man' himself does not help in making the show a bit more popular and the reason for this is that the overall image of parent network is already tainted; that is the giant TV company is infamous in the shameless copying of ideas of other channels both here and abroad. Add this to the fact that 'Kamao', a copy of another show, is being shoved into viewers faces.

Again, ABS CBN fails to score with this photocopy show. The reason for this is that the said TV company do not put into serious consideration the genuine needs and wants of the typical Pinoy viewer. In my opinion, I think ABS should put their enemy network's creative writers on top of their 'people-to-pirate' list.

ABS CBN's Current stats for this year so far: Wins 0, Loses 10, Draws 0.
